Reverend Samuel M. Murray is a native of Charleston South Carolina. Since 1975 he has called Baltimore Maryland his home. He received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from The College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. In addition to his educational accomplishments, Rev. Murray proudly retired from the Unites States Air Force Reserves in January 2003 after 28 years of faithful service. He is currently employed with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services. He is a devoted and loving husband to his wife of more than thirty years, Angela Murray and a loving and supportive father to their three children Samantha, Sabrina and Thomas Murray.

In 1988 he rededicated his life to Christ and became a member of the Good Tidings Baptist Church, where he has been a faithful member serving under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Roy B. Johnson, Jr. Throughout the years Rev. Murray served on many church ministries including the Male Choir , Evangelism Ministry, Deacon Board and new Membership Ministry. Reverend Murray preached his initial sermon and was licensed to preach the gospel on February 26, 1999. On April 25, 2004, Rev. Murray was ordained under the pastorate of Rev. Dr, Roy B. Johnson Jr. Rev. Murray was installed as the pastor of Good Tidings Baptist Church on February 26, 2006.
Rev. Samuel M. Murray is a leader and teacher commissioned to preach the gospel in and out of season. He is an ordained Minister of the Gospel, a true and faithful servant of God.
